Paralyzed Veteran Athletes
On Monday April 9th the Richmond Sketchers visited McGuire Veterans Administration Hospital in Richmond, Virginia and drew paralyzed veteran athletes in training for the 32nd National Veterans Wheelchair Games. With the Homeless
Richmond Sketcher Mike Kim has been spending time embedded at Richmond, Virginia's Holy Trinity Episcopal Church soup kitchen. He recently found out that some of the homeless will be competing this coming Summer in an international soccer competition for the homeless in New York City.
Wounded Warrior Visit
On Friday, March 30th, Richmond Sketchers joined Society of Illustrator artists Jeff Fisher, Josh Korenblat and Victor Juhasz at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. We spent several hours getting to know and sketch four wounded servicemembers.
